HOUSING PROGRAMS

The Credit Counseling Center is a Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency approved agency in the Comprehensive Homeownership Initiative. CCC is a (HEMAP) approved Agency for the Homeowners’ Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program which prevents foreclosures in Pennsylvania.

Program Mission:

Through professional counseling families will review the advantages of homeownership, budget planning and credit repair, loan comparison report, homeowners assessment tool and review. We will discuss qualifying for a mortgage, fair housing issues, beginning of the purchase process, and the role of the realtor.

Housing Programs:

Pre-Purchase Counseling- provides budget/credit counseling, debt ratios, mortgage qualifying, and loan comparisons.

Pre-Closing Counseling-provides budget counseling, homeownership responsibilities, and closing preparations.

Home Buyer Seminar agenda includes: pro/cons of homeownership, budget planning, record keeping, predatory lending, fair housing, mortgage qualifying, the role of the realtor and the home inspector.
