We help people just like you to live within a systematic spending plan and pay off their bills without taking out another loan. We can offer you professional money management guidance, credit report review and a debt consolidation plan if needed. When you call the Credit Counseling Center one of our trained counselors will arrange a confidential appointment to sit down and conduct an in-depth analysis of your financial situation. They will do an income and expense summary and develop your personal spending plan. Your counselor may recommend our Debt Management Program if you are having difficulty paying off your debt. We also offer programs that help families move from renting into homeownership. Find out about the first time home buyer program and closing cost assistance program. Bankruptcy counseling is provided for people who need the counseling certificates that are necessary to filing bankruptcy. We provide educational workshops on the wise use of credit, basic rules of money management, your money and you and home homeownership seminars. Reverse Mortgages
Eligibility Requirements for Homeowners:
· In order for a borrower to have an application for a Reverse Mortgage, it is required that they attend counseling with a HUD approved counseling agency.
· All owners must be 62 years of age or older
· Must occupy home as principal residence [must live in home for over 6 months per year]
Eligible Properties:
· Single Family, 1 to 4 unit, owner occupied dwelling
o Condos must be FHA approved
o Manufactured homes are eligible if they meet FHA standards [borrower must own the land, the home must be permanently affixed to a foundation and it must have been built after 6/15/76].
· Mobile Homes and Cooperatives NOT eligible
